Daystar hood buckle....

What is the easiest way to remove the damn factory buckles? Hand tools only plz.

If you're replacing the rubber with daystar the cutting the with some dykes works.

Two pair of pliers on each end of the black pegs and twist them opposite ways

Some folks take a hacksaw and cut the plastic that coat the pin and then you take a pair of vice grips and twist to break them.

Thanks guys for the tips... I will try it again this evening. 60 MPH head winds are not fun... Trying to fix her up for the return trip. Stopped at a local 4WD store in ABQ and picked up the daystars this morning.

I just use regular cutters - it usually just pops off one end and you can slide the other side out
