If you don't have a way to strap it outside, yes, just some ratchet straps will secure it fine - but like I'd mentioned, when we did the trails in Colorado last year, we didn't use the Jerry cans - not once. So, unless you need it for cheap insurance, you could probably leave that out.

x2. Unless he plans on doing several trails without stopping to fuel up in between, I don't really foresee the need for Jerry Cans - we had both of ours - total of around 10G of gas in two Jerry Cans and came back with the same 10G of gas we left with .

You still have your doors on????

Talking of storms and rains, I think we got about 2" of rain or so here in Lawton - in two separate bursts. Atleast, that's about how much of water was on the floorboards of my Jeep. It's been a while since my Jeep had to go pee - and today, she was there for a while!!!

Anymore, I just got used to having it doorless - rain or no rain. Always keep a chamois handy. I was about to take the bikini top off last night - guess it's a good thing I didn't. Most of the water was from the sideways rain - I was parked between two F-150 Crew Cabs, so both doors were pretty shielded from direct rain. Oh well, Jeep got a wash - inside and out. Had we gotten any hail with this storm, I'm sure I'd be the only one saying "who wants to pop the hail dents out of my floor board??"

Haha. Nice!!! I've been thinking about bed lining my floorboards and getting seat covers. I always have my safari on me. So that's easy to throw on.

With the bikini top, you normally don't get too much rain in - but today, when it did rain, it was coming down hard. And I think one of my colleague took off in his F-150 leaving my passenger side wide open - oh well, it's all good
