due to the lack of use of technology by the tax commission in OK, you can't check online, you have to submit your top 5-6 ones that you want and the highest ranked one not taken is what you get.

RCJUNKIE is too many characters. You can call a tag agency to check, BTW. Or I can.

you must have an inside track or they've changed it lately. (or the ones I tried were lazy jerks).

I physically went to 2 tag agencies and called 2 others to see if they could check for me and no go. They said they had no way to check. That was 2 years ago.

Yes, But RCJUNKY isnt... I have a friend that his parents own the one in Edmond off of Broadway and he looked up custom plates for me all the time. I havent seen him there in a while but maybe his parents would do it..

Oklahoma is rediculous on trying to get a personalized plate. You have to wait so long and you dont know if its available for the longest time. I been thinking about changing mine from "BAZINGA" to either "REDDIRT" or "CLIFFORD" (yes, as in clifford the big red dog) haha. but i just re-newed my plate and dont want to go through the 4 month waiting process again.

RCJUNKY is a good pick..that would look cool

wow, that really hacks me off that it's available and 4 places in Tulsa wouldn't do it for me.

I have said since we've lived here that Tulsa tag agencies are far less helpful and more rude than any I have ever used anywhere else (mostly in OKC).

Mmm, maybe. Rick, call 769-3353 today or tomorrow and ask for Sheryl (she's off Thursday and Friday). Tell her that Mark said that she's the bestest and nicest tag hag at the greatest tag agency in the state, and that he said that she'd look up a tag or two for you. They do have busy runs, so you might ask her first if she's too busy to do that.

Sheryl and I go back a ways--when my wife died she was the first person I let know. Sheryl served as a pseudo-mom for Curtis as I raised him over the past twelve years since her death. Sheryl's family and us have camped a lot together through Scouting, as well as personal. She and her husband sit in the same pew as me at church. I guess you could call that an inside track.

Sheryl and her family and Jared (Russ Calhoun's son, Chase) and Curtis (right) after we climbed Touch-Me-Not Mountain in NM. The week before Curtis and I had completed a 95-mile trek that included climbing the mountain behind us--Baldy Mtn on Philmont Scout Ranch.

CLIFFORD is too long. BTW....my tag agency had no issues poking in any I inquired about.
