Is it too early to start talking about EJS? I'm so amped up I can't even contain myself. I check this section weekly, waiting for someone to bring it up just so I can post, but nobody has. It's the 50th anniversary!!! Who's going?

I am soooooooo excited as well. My brother and I are going to stay at Slick Rock Campground again. We are going for the entire 10 days. It should be great. Last year we had a blast. Learned a lot about how to drive my Jeep off road. Still trying to decide on what trails to do this year. I think last year, Fins n Things was one of our favorites. Also had fun on Flat Iron Mesa and Hotel Rock. Snapped an axle on Top of the World. Good times.

I have never been. Any advice for a first timer? Want to pull a pop up camper. Any suggestions on where to stay? I'm an experienced four wheeler and have done a number of Jamborees. Any good places to start? Will be bringing my children with me.

There are quite a few RV parks in Moab but they do get pretty busy - I recommend making a reservation now. I will be at Moab Rim RV Park - a nice little park that we stayed in last year.

I'll be there! When are you heading down and with who?

bobholthaus,
I agree. If you do not make your reservations soon you will not be able to make any. If you want to be primitive there are BLM areas available as well. I like to stay at Slickrock Campground. There are sophomore and junior packages listed in the news paper on line at RR4W. When you register your Jeep, the website will only let you sign up for trails that are available with the limits of your rig.

We're leaving Washington on the 23rd and will be in Moab the 24th thru the 31st. We don't have a definite head count yet, but there is going to be anywhere from 2 Jeeps up to 6 Jeeps. I haven't got confirmation from some of the guys in our group. I've got a Townhouse reserved just outside of the arena so it should be pretty BA. I'm excited. This will be my third time to Moab, but first to EJS.
