Default $550 into a D44 Front Axle???

Whats the best $550 bucks you can put into a stock Rubicon front axle? I can do all the labor so here is what I am thinking.

5.13 gear overhaul $255.72 - NorthRidge
C gussets $89.99 - Off Road Evolution
Control Arm Skids $34.99 Off Road Evolution

Now should it be?

ARB Diff cover from NorthRidge $168.99 - Total $549.69

OR

Mag 44's from Off Road Evolution $159.99 - Total $540.69

??????

Yea your really right about that. Plus the covers are so easy to do any time but the Mag 44's really require alot more labor to do and labor that overlaps the gear set. Thanks for the input. Will the Mag 44 allow for upgraded axle shafts in the future I wonder? Any draw backs to install the EVO Mag 44's. I mean once you drill into the axle housing and weld in the sleeves their in there for the life of the axle. The outer o-ring should be easy to find and replace in the years to come right?

I bought some Riddler diff covers earlier this year. I just haven't got around to installing them yet. I've wheeled the heck out of my rig--including 2 separate week-long trips to Moab--and haven't dented my stock diff covers yet.

I'd also say the sleeves because you will have the shafts and carrier pulled for the gear install. So, it will save time to do it all at once.

Besides, if when you do the sleeve install you decided to add a weld bead around the outside of the axle tube where it enters the center section, you would want to replace the axle seals anyway, and you'd have to pull the carrier to do it.
x2 Thanks for your interest in our products. If you have any questions please feel free to give us a call.
