Default 1 or 1.25 body lift

i know... yet another...

i'm getting really interested in installing one of those two body lifts on my 09 2door auto... currently i've got no other lifts in there and don't really plan on it. i've currently got (255/75)18's off a 2007 sahara... i swapped out the stock bumpers for rugged ridge tube bumpers and now i've got a lange originals kayak rack up there, so all this added weight has me feeling like i'm riding a little low but i really don't have the money to do anything other than a BL.... i'm looking for the most simple solution for getting a little bit higher without ANY negative consequences(i can deal with seeing the pinch seem)

so does anyone have any thoughts on doing this, any recommended BL brands, and most importantly, any pics of a jk with only a BL and no other lifts? i know most of you use a BL in addition to a SL.

thanks guys

a 1" body lift is cheap and easy to install and .25" more certainly won't make a whole lot of difference one way or another. i've installed both a MORE and a PA kit and can tell you that both come complete and will do the job well. here's a write-up that should help you out:

yea, you're the man. i actually already came across that well-done write up but have one question, and you're obviously the person to ask...

that write up was done on a 2007, i read somewhere(maybe in the comments on that write up) that theres some sort of difference in the bolt width or something along those lines once you get into the 2008 model year. any idea on where my 2009 fits in there?

when you order your body lift, you just need to make sure that you get one that is made for 2008-Up and you should be fine.

the pic you see is just of a generic BL kit and a really really tall one at that too.

so i went to order the BL and the guy starts trying to talk me into lifting via a different method because he calls BL's unsafe

"I've seen issues with body lifts putting undue strain on both the bolts and the body tub itself."

what do you think? i don't plan on doing much wheeling, this is just to get myself a little bit higher. this jeep is my DD

It is true that a 3" body lift can be a problem, but not a 1" body lift. The guy is just trying to upsell you without really finding out what you want to accomplish.
yup, what he said
