Default Is 1" Enough?

First off, hope you enjoy the title.

Secondly, I was wondering if cutting 1" off the OEM Rubi rock rails/sliders is enough to prevent 35's from rubbing at full flex? I did the job yesterday, not realizing that I should probably have cut off more than that until after. Do you think I'll be o.k.?

Presently, I am running the Teraflex 2.5" Coil/shock lift with Goddyear MTR's 35x12.5r15. All the Teraflex and OEM bump stops are in place, as well.

From searching through various threads, I know a lot of guys took 2" off the rockers, as well as trimmed/bent the body (which I did an adequate job on). However, I have come across those who say that they were fine without having done anything.

Am I going to be o.k., or should I take them off again and cut some more away?

I haven't cut anything off the pinch weld and have not had any issues with my 35's. When one of the rear wheels compresses it shifts back and gets further from the weld that you are concerned about.

I cut an inch and a half off mine and run 37's. I didn't cut it at all with 35's

What is everyone using to cut their rails and pinch seams? Very curious, how easy of a job was it for you? Thanks.
