Default '12 Rubi...what gears??

Yes...another "What gears?" thread...but with a twist.
I have a 2012 with 35's currently running the stock 4:10s, I will be going to 37s next year for sure and I will be regearing. I spoke with one of the guys at EVO and he was telling me 5:13 all the way until he realized I had a 2012 and said they had been putting in 4:88s on the '12s. Any thoughts along this line? My brother says 5:13s but I want some more opinions with reasons why lol. And yes...there is a slight chance I will eventually go to 40s but Im fighting it!!

Check with WOL. He is running 37s on RubiCat with stock 4.10s and he said he didn't feel the need to regear.

I run 35s with 3.73 so I bet that's about the same as running 4.10 with 37s and I don't feel any need to regear

I'm running 37" km2's with 4.10's auto. And it still has plenty of power. So that means more money for other parts for now hen maybe a re-gear when it's time to move up to 40's

The 12s are much more powerful and can handle the bigger tires easier than previous models with the 3.8 motors.

Please dont make me pull all the info but for the 2012 you should go with 4:56 for 35s and 4:88 for 37s. This would not be the case if we were talking about an 07-11.

There is a great website (I have the link at home) that lets you compare before and after changes.

What I have found is that a 2012 on 35 with 4:10's performs almost identical to 3:73 with stock tires. Since I have a rubicon that came with 4:10's I want to maintain the that level of torgue. So, for me I would have to go to 4:56 in order to get back the torgue I lost when I went to 35s. For you it would be 4:88 since you want to go with 37's.
