15" vs 17" Wheels
I have tried a search and have not been able to answer these questions with the results.
I am looking at pricing out a set of 35"/315 Tires and have found that the Goodyear MT/Rs are considerably cheaper with a 15" hole.
Other than wheel selection and options, is there any reason that I wouldn't want a 15" wheel on this size tire? Would a 15" alloy wheel fit ok, with 4-4.5" BS on a 2.5" lifted '13 JKU?
I've read a ton of great reviews regarding the Duratracs, but how do the MT/Rs compare?
Thanks!

The clearance over the brakes with 15 inch wheels is so tight that some will fit and some won't. This thread gives a good bit of info.

Running 35s on 15s right now and possible 37s on 15s next week. Never had any issues with mounting or balancing. I know a lot of people with 15s on JK and nobody has any problems and it the wheels are tight on the caliper just grind down the caliper a bit. Wont make a difference to it. We started with Crager Soft 8s and then went to MB72s. The MB72s had a hair more clearance than the Soft8s but both work just fine and the less expensive tires/rims and more sidewall is a bonus

Most of what interco makes comes in 37 or higher in a 15" rim. Toyo did make some 37x15 before and I see them around still, but they are 13.5" wide tire I believe. Dick Cepek did make 37x15 as well, but I think they stopped production. There's still a ton of 37x12.5x15 tires out there though, not too hard to find used and reasonably priced.
