Default if so which track-bar would be recommended.....

I have had my teraflex 2.5 BB on for about 4 months and about 4000 mi. I have now developed a little shimmy at 45-55 mph. I went back thru and re-torqued all bolts that I removed when installing the lift. The track-bar was a bit loose so I snugged it down. I went and had the tires rebalanced shimmy still there. Could the bushing in the track-bar have been ruined by the the lack of being torqued down. In the pain next to the bolt you could see where the bolt had been moving looked like a bit under 1/8th in. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have been reading a lot of the threads on track-bars and what not so I think that's my next option.

Thanks,
Catch

If you're still running the factory track bar, I doubt it is bad. A shimmy at a specific speed range is typically a problem with tires that are out of balance. Even though you just had them done, it is possible that they are still off. God know I have had to take my Jeeps in for multiple balancing as the shops always seem to have a hard time getting them right. Anyway, try swapping your rears to the front and vice versa and see if that makes a difference.

Well, would you happen to know if the shimmy developed after a wheeling trip? It's very common to throw weights on the trail and/or even mud built up in your wheels can throw things out of balance.

I un- rotated the tires and steering wheel shimmy is gone .....Not sure then if I have a bad tire belt then or just not balanced well. now do I just go from shop to shop to see who can balance them correctly?? or just never rotate them???

how long ago did you rotate? Sometimes it takes a few miles for the tires to "settle in". Especially with mud terrains.

Same thing happened to mine right after I rotated the tires. I have the Teraflex 2.5 BB. I guess I need to replace the track bars and get everything aligned. Not sure what else I needed to replace.

I have considered taking the BB lift off, and replacing it with a more complete kit.

but why would it be fine with these tires and not the others, I can't imagine it is the lifts fault to me that makes me think there is a tire problem. if it was an alignment issue I would think it would be no matter which tires are up front.
