Default 2.5 lift + 1.75 on a 2dr

I would like to know if the components on a 2.5 Tera kit would still work when I add a 1.75' coil spacer? Maybe it's a stupid question but I would like to know for sure.

Components I'm most worried about.

•sway bar links
•shocks (running the 9550 Tera)

Thank you.

Why not start by looking at a few of the 4-4.5" lifts on the market? That will give you a good idea of the components those companies recommend, and should be easy to compare what you have against them.

Or you could even open up the stickies at the top of this area. The faq's have a suspension section with recommended components for certain lift heights, and the other thread is a great overview on lifts that also talks about components...

Well, you probably got 3" from the TF lift. Adding 1.75 would put you close to 5". Your shocks will be too short (well, you could use them, but not the best solution). Links too short. You'll need some adjustable control arms and track bars. Longer brake lines if you get longer shocks. On a 2 door, you'll have some drive shaft issues. Then, there's the list of unknowns. Running that much lift on a 2 door isn't easy.

What exactly are you doing that you want/need that much lift?

Great info thanks! Yeah I got a lot of lift from the Tera. Like 4'. I don't want to replace a ton of parts . Im looking currently to buy adj control arms but not looking for a driveshaft yet. I'm looking to get more lift to fit 37s and not get new fenders.

If you're at close to 4", adding more lift would cost a lot of money. At close to 6" on a two door, you'll need all 8 adjustable control arms, adjustable track bars, etc.

If you did that, you'd still likely have to start cutting and welding new brackets on. The driveline angle would change too much on a 2 door.

At this point, you have plenty of lift for 37s. Add bump stop to prevent rubbing. You also need proper wheel back spacing. Around 3.5" would be ideal.

Do you not like flat fenders? You can cut yours for nearly free.

If you are really determined to add more lift at this point, your best option would be a body lift.

I say 4" but it still looks like a 2.5 haven't measured since I lifted it but I doesn't look as high as it use too. That may be because I got use to seeing it everyday...either way I was considering this option to fix 37s because the 35 look to be about 2 inches of maybe even 3 from the fenders.

It's not that I don't like flat fenders but I like my stock better. I would only get them if I have no way around it.

Don't forget steering correction. You will want to flip the front, and add a taller bracket to the rear at the same time.

Trimming the flares or going to flats would be a much less expensive route.

Yeah as much as I would like to get this done, it's going to require a lot of replacing which I'm not ready for just yet. Saying up for 37 soon, so I guess added the lift will have to wait. I'll probably cut fenders as much as I would like to keep them stock.
