2.5" lift....any alignment,castor issues
I just finished my max travel kit today. Im getting the tires put on tomorrow. But like one of the previous guys said. It looks pretty damn cool with the stock rubi tires. But since ive already bought the new 35's id better put them on i suppose, haha. But if i didnt, i would be happy driving it around as is. So yeah, i'd go ahead and get the lift u want now, the tires can wait if u dont have the cash for them now
I installed the 2.5 RK stock mod kit on my JKU. I got just shy of 3in of lift even with the added weight of the bumper and winch. My castor was at 2.65 after the lift. It was very flighty and would nearly change lanes on an uneven paved road. Added the RK adjustable LCA's and drives like it should (the allignmet tech reccomended cam bolts
) Couldn't be happier with the lift. Sets almost perfectly level. The rear is 1/8 of an inch higer than the front.

Love the shape of the LCA's for clearance past the tires.

I did a little taller lift (3-1/2" Old Man Emu) with Teraflex adjustable lower control arms and JKS adjustable trackbars front and rear. Whole setup was less gthan $1800. Project JK has a great article on how to align your jeep with about $15 in tools.

I would love to go taller but just not wanting any front ds issues. I got a good price found on the max travel kit from david at northridge with bilsteins so I think im gonna pull the trigger on that kit. I was just concerned about the castor angles on the kits with no lca's. I have seen the article your talking about but without the lca's I don't think a computer alignment machine could help me. Thanks for the input though man. Always love different ideas for lifts.
I just installed the RC 2.5 and have noticed a moderate change in the steering. I am planning on adding the adjustable front track bar from RC very soon. The alignment guy also recommended cam bolts but I just don't like that idea. My question is. Will adjustable LCA's alone correct the caster or do I need to do upper and lower arms.
I used a relocation bracket for the track bar in the rear to recenter the axle. Should this be sufficient for the back or should I consider adjustable control arms for it as well?
Not trying to hijack the thread. I just have alot of the same questions. Lol

I actually bought the jeep with no lift and am running the 295/70/17s that came on it so I may just get the lift i want and run what i got for a while.
Those castor numbers are exactly what I was afraid of without the front lca's. Would you also recommend the rear uca's?
