Default 2.5 teraflex spring install

So, i just got done. took 2.5 hours with two people, neither one has ever done a lift, But i am a competent mechanic unlike my helper (USAF Loadmaster) who made some stuff a pita lol.

only snags i had is the guy that helped me stripped the nutplate for hte shock extender (where the stock shock bolts to) and i had to retap

the Traction/torsion/tension bar(**** i just forgot hte name of it), the relocation bracket, it sucked...horribly

I had to put it in a vice to squeeze it together, becuase hte side holes would not line up unless i did that. Use a crap load of washers instead of the sleeve in the middle, and then heat it, and bend it back out so the bar could go into the bracket.

also, the brake lines worry me, but i know its not a HUGE deal since the stock shocks dont extend too far. but when it was on a lift, and i turned the wheel all the way one way, they were straining. Not break or snap straining, but more than i like. but since that is the FURTHEST they will go, i have faith if teraflex says its good, its good.

No pics becuase its 8 at night, and a typhoon is comming in tonight and the morning. But i will get pics of hte lift next to a stock JK as well since i always see people asking for it.

i wanted to go bigger, but its the wifeys car.
she said i can only do a 2.5

I went with the spring over the ghetto rubber block method becuase of ride quality.
stock is too soft, and too much body roll. after a lift it only increases chances of rollover during evasive manuvers.
already just going home i can tell the difference. Its not huge, but its not all cushy soft anymore. i like it

I plan on swapping out my BB for a spring lift, always have. The BB was just an intermediate step. I want 3, possibly 4, but no more than that ~ simply dont need it, so I cannot justify the cost.

I like that the ride improved as far as stiffness to.

yeah, before i ordered it i confirmed with teraflex that it was in fact a higher springrate than stock. i didnt get solid numbers from him, but that was my #1 concern.

i am VERY satisfied

Good luck....at least you're now 2.5 inches higher from the rain than you were a couple of days ago!

Post some pics when it dries out.

Ghetto? I have a RC 2.5 BB with 2.2 shocks and I dont get body roll at all. Also with the Rubicon 4 door springs.

Ghetto really isnt the term I would use.

I did however install a TF 2.5 Spring lift into a friends JK last nigth and also ran into trackbar relocation issues. Oh and it was an absolute pleasure doing the passenger side spring with those bumpstop extensions...NO
