Default 2.5" vs 3" teraflex

So, I thought I had my mind made up on the 2.5" teraflex coil lift with the bilsteins but then started thinking about the 3" with the teraflex shocks. Is it really worth the extra cash for an extra 1/2" and better shocks. I plan on running 35's on my '08 JKU Rubicon. What's everybody's thought on this?

Thanks

It really depends if u want to ever run 37s.

It's a bit deceiving because the 2.5" lift will yield around 3.25" of lift. And the 3" lift will give u over 4" of actual lift which will potentially start to stress your drive shafts.

A few items to consider. If your never going bigger than 35s the 2.5" would be perfect. I'm running it on my 2 dr and fully flexed while discoed I have never rubbed.

Hope this helps.

Are the Teraflex shocks better than the Bilsteins? I would just stick with the 2.5" personally.

Eventually I'll add front and rear bumpers and a winch. Will that bring the total lift down a bit?

Sorry, I meant the bilsteins as being better.

Heavy bumpers and winch will make the Jeep sit a little lower than without them. Go 3 inch and save yourself the time of installing spacer in the front when the front end sags down a little bit. But hey thats my opinion.

Well if you plan for winch and bumpers, go for the 3 inch lift. You will sag a bit with all the extra weight so compensate before hand. i have a 2.5inch teraflex kit and i am going to add coil spacers to gain my lift back after i get a steel front bumper. My rear bumper weighed me down a lot in back already

From Teraflex website: Hope it helps you make up your mind.

In addition, we estimate that additional aftermarket components will be added to the vehicle (such as a winch, bumpers, racks and larger spare tire). We attempt to have our suspensions sit at or close to the advertised lift height with all of the aftermarket components included on the vehicle. This means that each vehicle may not perfectly match the specified lift height. Please take this into consideration when measuring the actual lift height that you achieve with our JK suspensions

Note that 2 door JK’s will experience about 1 inch of additional lift than the 4 door JK’s with the same lift springs.
