2" Budget boost Pic request and question
Sure there are time I wish I had 35's but then I remind myself that if I got them I would have spent $1k or there abouts in new gears, then probly another $900 or so for a new bumper with tire carrier. Add the axle sleeves and c gussets and you're already $2k+. They do look meaner and make the JK more capable, but I have fun on my 33's doing what I do for now and can still keep up with most of the guys. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I'll get there, but I'm content with my setup right now. Take the extra $$ and invest in armor. I have the full belly skid system from River Raider hopefully going on this weekend!

afdude87: I actually already have the teraflex leveling kit.. I love it! but I was just looking for just a little bit more lift.. and also to see if that little bit more would be worth it.. Hence the request for the pics.
Bareass: what is it exactly that your rubbing? My main concern was the front drive shaft rubbing just as it does with many of the 2 door autos w/ the TF 2.5 bb. I know most of the members have had to trim the front skid plate in order to prevent that. also replace the medal band holding the boot with a zip tie. If you have the time to post some pics I would be really grateful.
i'm rubbing the hell out of my fenders. nothing too serious, but its enough.
if you want to check lift your truck up take the front wheels off, unbolt the front shocks from the axle and drop the front axle slowly. drop it about 2 inches (you can measure from the bottom eye of the shock to the mounting whole) and see where your drive shaft is. if you get new shocks and it droops too low you can always put in limiting straps to not let the axle drop down, or cut a notch out of you skid plate.

stock tires are only 10.5" wide. Most wheel spacers will push your wheel out 1.5" from the stock position on the hub effectively giving you the same distance as a wheel with 4.75" back spacing which a lot of 17's have (our stock wheels are 6.25"). If you have a 12.5" wide tire even though its 2" wider total, its only an inch wider in each direction. So with the wheel spacers you'll actually still have an extra .5" of clearance than you had before running the 12.5 wide tires. Took me a minute to get my mind around all that before I got mine.
