33s??? 35s??? HELP!!!
Does any one know of a "smaller" 35 inch tire? I know some measure 34, 34.5, etc. I was just curious if there is a tire out there that calls itself a 35 but is actually a little bit on the small side. The reason I ask is because I don't want to buy 33s and end up with a tire just a hair larger than my stock tires. I have a 2.5 inch lift and 4.10s so I know they will fit and I can turn them. So any input would be great. Thanks guys!
Why the concern over 35s?
If you have 4.10 gears and a 2.5" lift you should be all set to run 35s.
Typically people refer to 315/75R16s and 315/70R17s as 35s, when they actually run a hair smaller. I believe the 315/70R17 is about 34" when mounted and the 315/75R16 is about 34.5" when mounted.

Ignore the mfg's specs, and search around for reviews on the specific tires you are looking at. You can also ignore the gearing/tire size advice from the guys with manuals, since Auto's are much less forgiving of tire size increases.
Do you have plans on re-gearing at some point? If not, then you are on the right track with looking for a shorter '35'.
KM2's are reported to run small.
MTR/K's are reported to be closer to the advertised height.
My 315/75/16 Maxxis Bighorns are 33.5" mounted. (MFG says 34.6") They were also $100 less per tire than km2's and mtr/k's.

I am in the process of making the same decision as you. I think I have decided on Goodyear Duratracs in 315/70/16. They measure 34.5 (34 when mounted.) I went to a local Goodyear dealer and saw one on display. They are really nice tires, a good hybrid between M/T and A/T. I also got a chance to see the same size duratracs on the same color JK Unl. that I have and they look good!!
Kelly Safaris....I've had my eye on those. nice looking tire. Centralia, IL eh? You're only like an hour away. Any good places to go wheelin around there?
