first, with 4" of suspension lift, your going to need to run adjustable control arms in the front to adjust the caster. If not its going to be flighty.

the second problem is the rear driveline. Its going to be a matter of time before you explode the rear shaft with the steep driveline angle. Thats a couple hundred dollars alone.

And when you get the new rear driveshaft, you'll have to install rear adjustable control arms to fix the pinion angle. Going cheap on a 4" lift on a 2 door is going to cost you alot in the end.
Agreed - I waited until I could go all in for these same reasons.

No offense, but...CHEAP LIFT?

Impossible

I agree with Robar

DityJake, there is a saying where I live: "Lo barato sale caro" Translation:"Cheap things cost you a lot"

Just trying to save you some serious headaches and money too

You dont see many jeeps (2 door) with much more than 4" lately, and they just dont impress me too much. So im definetly gonna go with a 6", i may split it with a 4 suspension and 2 body, but ill see what i can do. Thanks for the pics guys keep 'em comming
I would go directly with a 6" long arm kit. I dont think you'll like the 2" body lift. Looks goofy IMO. It does nothing to add articulation. Those extra 2" would be better served in your coils for more droop. My 2 cents

Listen to Piginajeep....what he mentions is EXACTLY what I went through when I wanted to lift my Rubicon. I started thinking cheap and saw a 6" lift for around $1k. After researching what goes into a lift of that size, I realized you need alot more components than you think. Let's just say a quality 6" lift along with drive shafts and gears will set you back at least $4000-$5500 installed ($2200-$3200 for the lift kit + $1500 for gears + $1200 for drive shafts + $ misc labor).

My boy Woody4545 just got his 2 door lifted with a 7" Skyjacker Long arm kit with 37s. If you want maybe he can show you some pictures.

A second, or third, Amen to that. There is no way to do it cheap and good. And with a 2 dr doing it less than properly could put you at jeopardy. You could skate (time wise) a bit on the gears if need be but do the lift right.
