Default 2-Door Muffler Relocation???

Has anyone been able to fit a muffler under the driver seat of a 2-door without relocating the evap canister? I want to do this, but it doesn't look like there's enough room down there.

I know the 4-door guys have been doing this for some time now...

Pics of a muffler under the 2-door would be great, but I also need the specs on the muffler. I want to be able to duplicate...

Are you dead-set against moving the evap can? There are a couple of good kits out there and several people just relocate it with a few bolts, a piece of hose and a fitting or two. Get's it out of harms way in addition to making room.

I replaced my stock muffler with a Gibson. It's about a third the size and tucks up in the stock location. If anything could get up there a bent muffler would be the last of my worries. My only concern with relocating the muffler along the frame rails is the fact that my gas tank skid is beat to high heavens, and relocating a muffler to the same spot (but on the other side) seems like putting it in harms way. I often wonder why people want to relocate there evap canister to protect it, and then stick a muffler in it's place. Just curious.

YTEE:
That looks exactly like the way I am trying to go with mine. If you had it to do all over again, would you?

What is the total length of the muffler? It almost looks like you have more room between the evap canister and the Hush muffler than I have with no muffler, in that spot. Is your evap in the stock location? I really don't want to have to move it.

EUGENE:
I would much rather have a bolt on kit like the Gibson, but there is not a single kit in my price range. It seems that companies are way to proud of their pipes, I am having a hard time with intakes and exhausts being 4-5 times the price of thier indivual components. I guess I am just living at the shallow end of the pool.

I don't mean to high jack this thread, but I have to ask Ytee a question. Why do you have your rear TB located on the middle hole of your relo bracket versus the top hole? I ask because if I'm not mistaken you are suppose to use the top hole for the 4" lift

I went with a 6'' round magnaflow race series muffler and its nowhere near the evap. can. Tucks up higher than the oval mufflers too.

i am also worried about ripping my future muffler. its a 5 inch round universal magnaflow stainless. its not yet instaled but im a little worried about ripping it off. i think i will only clamp it just in case it grab on something. a custom skid plate would be interesting.

The hp-2 is 18" long. Yes I would do it again.
