hey GOBICON!

welcome to the forum. you'll find that everyone here is really helpful. flaming and all, but it's all in good fun.

first you should decide what you really want to lift your jeep for, off roading, or just looks. then decide what kind of off roading you do. once you get those out of the way you can start shopping for your kit.

if u just want looks, just do the spacer lift and u can do it under $300 for sure.

if you want to take your rig on some trails then think about a coil / shock combo.

either way, it's your rig and loot so do what makes you happy! i can't tell you how much money i've spent in the last year and 1/2 just thinking i wanted something only to realize its not what i wanted in the first place, or found something better. so research is your friend, and this forum is an excellent road map with lots of helpful folks! i found it to be anyways.

do what you can afford and need, otherwise you may end up spending more on things you don't need. post pics when you're done!

good luck!

I don'tmind getting new track bars but I do not want to have to go in and replace drive shafts or add cardan joints to them for mucho $$$. I would like someone to reply that has done the OME coil lift with the HD springs and shocks and put maybe 33-12.5-17 tires or 315/70/17 tires on with wheel spacers and stock wheels; explain that they did or did not have to replace the track bars--if they developed a hair raising shudder at 70 mph--- basically what they did to make it ride like it did when it was brand new before the lift. I know this is too much. I am probably going to be in trouble from the moderators.........
My OME lift works fine. Drive shafts are all good. And the thing rides great

These mods we can do to our Jeeps are like getting accessories for my Harley. Gotta stay in control with the mods man..............it's addicting!!!
Your parts and tires are worth more with less miles on them. Selling them now would get a better price then in 10k.

The Mopar 2" lift is made by LKI Enterprises, a.k.a., SuperLift.

Older front drive shafts (like mine) have drive line issues with the lift. Newer front drive shafts (like the one I'm getting on Monday), in theory, should not have drive line issues with the lift. Chrysler definitely has at least two different designs for the boot over the sliding part of the front drive shaft.

I have a 2 door automatic. The above may not be an issue with manual transmissions or 4 door JKs.

Was this on a JK or a TJ? With either with a 2" BB kit a 1-1/2" t-case is not needed. Maybe a 1/2" t-case drop with a TJ.
