You can bounce this back and forth all day long. Bottom line is, the 3.8 is made to move only so much air and fuel. If you open up the intake side, you have to open up the exhaust side so that it can get it out as easily as it gets it in.

I am not saying either way on this idea because without someone bolting it up... there is no way to be certain. I will tell you that I have a hard time believing all the hype with intake risers and larger TB's. Larger TBs are usually (usually) really only helpful when other changes have been done to an engine. I don't see how bolting up a larger TB will do anything by itself?
I guess that maybe it could be less restrictive than stock and make it more efficient like certain air filters claim they do.
