Default 2010 JK Rubicon Value

Not sure if this is the place for this, but I'll try.

I bought a 2010 Unlimited Rubicon last May and added $13000 of mods plus my labor to it. I've always wanted to build one. It turned out very well and I love the way it performs on 3.5 and 4 rated trails. The only problem is that my wife likes our 97 ZJ better. We are retired and spend our winters in AZ where we do our offroading. I'm going to build a little more on the ZJ and trying to decide what to do with the Rubi. I could use it as a DD, but I prefer something more comfy for a DD. Soooooooo, I am looking to sell it or trade for a 2 or 3 year old Avalanche or Acadia. What is a fair value for a JKU that listed for $36,000 (I paid 33 for it) and had $13000+ in mods added to it? I'm not loooking to recover it all. Can I look at normal depreciation for the Jeep and add 50% of the improvements?

It is a difficult item to find a fair price. I could just drive it as a DD, but it's too capable of a Jeep to stay on the road and WI doesn't offer offroad options. Any thoughts will be appreciated??

I've read that mods return 50% value at most after installed.

good luck getting 50% value on your mods, IMHO you'd be better off returning the jeep to stock if possible and piecing out your aftermarket parts

I recently sold two Jeeps--a JK and an LJ. I stripped off most of the mods and put them both back to as close to stock as possible. I sold the parts on ebay, and got good prices for both Jeeps. I am confident that I got way more by doing it that wasy, because I found that mods don't really add much to the value.

I've thought about putting it back to stock. I have everything except the tires and wheels. However, regearing back to 410s would be a wash, as I don't setup gears. If I regeared, the tires and wheels would have to go and buying stock would gain a little, but not much. The RCVs and Superiors would sell quick, but the bumpers, River Raider skid pkg, and extra Rock sliders would be tough to move in WI.

Maybe there is someone that has the perfect DD for me that is wanting to get a built Rubicon, but can't afford both. That would be the best deal for both of us.

You have to go by my motto: "Forgiveness is easier to get than permission". Works for me!!

If you decide to part it out keep me in mind. I am in MN in Twin Cities but I have a buddy in Mosinee WI and would be interested in some of you stuff that couldn't ship assuming decent prices. I am trying to build but my wife... Anyway if you part it out keep me in mind!
