Default 2011 Front Brake lines

I have a 2011 Rubicon Unlimited. Today I put a 2.5 Teraflex Coil lift on and ran into a new design on the front brake lines. There is a metal clamp that atttaches the brake line near the shock attachment on the axle. There is very little length when the wheel flexes. Will this clamp come off or do I need to buy new brake lines? This set up is a pain in ass. Why did they change it from previous years? Any suggestions?? The pics show the bracket loose as there is very little room at normal driving.

Yes. The frame rail attachment is the same. The line just runs down to this clamp and then to the brake. This clamp incircles the brake line and attaches to the axle by the shock.

I'm pretty sure they installed this clamp to keep the brake line from getting hung up in the coil spring. Previous years when a lift was installed and an extension bracket was used the brake line would rub the shock mount.
I would definatly get a set of extended stainless steel brake lines. Worth it in the long run. Check with Dave at Northridge. You can get a set for about $80.00.

If you remove the bracket, it should work fine. When I installed my AEV 3.5" lift, they sent me shorter brake lines but I used a cresent wrench and a pry bar to remove the brackets. It works great for me and I have not had any problems yet with the brake lines. They are not hard to remove, so that is the route I would go. I have also heard that AEV now suggests taking the bracket off and not using the shorter brake lines

Strange, as I have a 2011 and put on a 2.5 lift with 1" spacer in the front, and I was able to use the clip and have no issues with my lines not being long enough.

My 2011 Rubi JKU also has very tight front lines also after 2.5" coil lift. This thread reminds me that I need to address that. Will make it a project to fab something up this weekend!
