Notice the rubber plug on the wires here..?? It could be that the plug slipped back into the diff if not properly installed or if the hole was drilled out to large.. As it is that hole is going to let in a LOT of water...

As far as the wiring.. It's no different than wiring up a fog light.. Switch is on "key switched" power that turns on a fused relay that on constant hot switched to the locker..

The 4WP here in Memphis has a couple of good techs that pay attention to what they are doing and do take some pride in what they do.. They're pretty much underpaid for what they do there, but they put up with it because they don't have to submit weekly "samples"..

Thank you for the picture.

I actually have a cousin that installs police vehicle lights and internal gadgets and he is also a Fleet Diesel Mechanic. I showed him the pictures of the wiring and he said they do make more weather resistant connector variants and at the very least they should have used the black shrink wrap to the exposed wires.

Very dissapointed in the work.

That's absolute garbage work.

I went with an OX locker through a local shop and the work was impeccable. All wires are hidden, actuator is tucked up under evap canister, no gear whine.

4WP was going to be $1k more and I didn't have confidence in their work. Glad I did what I did.

I would insist that work be redone if I were you.

My dads lift on his 06 rubicon was done at a 4wp, we changed the springs ourselves the beginning of this year and half the bolts were metric and the other half were sae, he also had to take it back after it was done because the exhaust was hitting the axle.

My JK has been with 4wheelparts in San Jose since yesterday 9AM.

They are looking it over and ordering the missing weather proofing parts from Eaton and will be make it right under warranty.

Glas to hear they are taking care of you. I'd suggest going over everything thoroughly and making sure the work is to your satisfaction and that everything works this time.

I picked up my JK yesterday and the locker works perfectly again.

They put a new Eaton install kit with new grommet and weatherproof the wiring a bit more. They also put the interior panel all the way back in.

diagnostic: The original grommet they said was in the locker itself. Apparently it had fallen in which no doubt was likely due to the hole being made too big but they didnt own up to that. I am happy they didnt charge me a dime and took care of it 7.5months after purchase.
