Default 2012 JKU AEV Procal Help

So I just got my Procal in the mail I bought from a user on here and I'm having some issues. Can I only program one mode? I would hope the answer is no because there's a few things I was needing it for but I programmed my tire size and now it won't program any other modes I'm trying to use. I've tried programming the TPMS setting and programming the one touch lang change, and it won't accept either. I've looked in the troubleshooting according to the code I'm getting (4-2) and all that says is "unexpected error while determining the vehicle type and equipment." I have the ignition key on and the vehicle not running. It says to contact AEV but since it's Sunday I thought the forum may be my best option. Help!

I have a 2012 sport, but I don't think it would be any different for a 4 dr. You'd be correct....you can use it for more than one programming. I used it to recalibrating my speedo and reduce my tpms. I took me a few times to figure it out....to the point where I reset everything and did it again. My suggestion is to use the reset code. Plug her in, and let your jeep reset. Start your programming again, and it should work. If not, you might have to call AEV....unless others have more suggestions. Hope that helps

I tried resetting just now and get the same error code. It accepted the tire size because the horn blew twice. Everything after that including reset has given me the error code 4-2

It may be possible that the vin is locked to the previous owners jeep. If they didn't reset the procal before sending it to you then it will only work on their jeep.

Good catch....ya I just did a bit of researching. Error code 4-2 means the vin is locked. Someone else on here had the same problem. So I guess my error code wasn't 4-2 :|. My suggestion, send it back to the user so he can unlock it.

It had to be unlocked though because it programmed my tires correct?

Did the box for the procal have a big sticker on it saying 2012 ready?
