AEV procal is not a tuner. It just enables you to change tire size, axle ratio, TPMS, and a few other things, does nothing for engine performance.

Educated guess would be early next month.
Any idea what it might cost?

Any 3.6 owners wary of tuning w/the known head issue?

I haven't heard about head issues. What's up with them?

TH Motorsports is offering a special on diablo tuners. They are a vendor here. Send them a PM. If you happen to be one of the few folks with head issues, just return the tuner to stock when you go to the dealer. Then again, if you have head issues you should get it fixed before you start tuning..

I had my 2012 in for a check engine light for cylinder 6 misfire. They updated some software, reset the CEL and told me my JK was ready for pickup. I haven't had any more CEL issues, but it has only been a couple of weeks. I'm not doing any tuning or anything else to my motor that might void the warranty until I know I don't have a head issue.

For those that keep mentioning that the code has been cracked, so now we can get a tune, it wasn't cracked. Chrysler provided the encryption to a couple of vendors because Chrysler was losing business. People were buying sports cars that could be aftermarket tuned and weren't buying the challengers and chargers because there was no aftermarket support for them. Chrysler caved to the aftermarket forces to gain more market share. Good news for us.

So im new to jeeps, but in other vehicles I've owned you had two tuning options.
1) a plug'n'play like these that yield minimal gains by curving timing and leaning mixture &
2) taking the vehicle for a full system optimisation that could give insane boosts to output and actually aide cai and exhaust mods.
Does this mean that option number two might come about for these in the future?

Or no love for real gains?

I don't know if I believe that. Why hasn't Superchips received any help? Why would diablo say they cracked it themselves?
