Default 2Dr suspension on a 4dr

I have a 4" suspension lift from A 2dr wrangler jk and was wondering if I could put it on my 4dr? Will the springs fit? And would it take away from gaining an actual 4" lift? I've heard of people taking 4dr springs and putting them on a 2dr which actually gave them about an inch of lift due to the springs being stiffer.

yes, they will fit. springs are springs.

4 doors weigh more so they might not give a full 4" prob depending on the quality of the springs. sometimes mfg's of suspensions say they have 4" springs and you gain more then what is actual. more cases then not this is more common with 2 doors.

Should we reply to both of your threads asking this same question, or are you ok with only looking at one?

Yes, they will fit.

No, you won't get 4". (How much less, and what kind of handling characteristics you get depends on which mfg's coils they are and how they were designed. )

Sorry, I'm new to the forums and don't know how to delete it. Just one is fine. They are rough country springs. I just hope they won't be to soft that they can't hold the weight of my unlimited and mess up the handling too much.

My 4" procomp lift is for a 2dr and i put it on my 4 door... I had to put spacers in the back to level it out due to the rear springs being lighter duty for 2 dr the fronts are the same I think. I got about 3.5"s of lift in the front and 3" in the back
