Default 2dr "x" automatic, gears

Hey everyone,

One question. Plain and simple. Will 5.13 gears help my 2dr automatic x on 35" km2's with acceleration and gas mileage, Or is it too much?

Thanks!

Read through the 'other' active gearing thread from today, and be sure to follow the link you will find on the first page.

My opinion, 5.38's are better for performance than 5.13's for these JK auto's. And mileage 'should' improve over stock gears with 35's, but there are a lot of variables so no one can tell you for sure.

Man I have a 2 door X with 37's and I have asked the same question to others. They say there is 5.38's for the D30 but no brand names were mentioned. I would think 5.13's would be ok for ya. Better than stock.

im going with 4.88's........... 5.13 or 5.38 is just too much gear. Its a jeep so its slow, super tall gears arent going to make it a ferrari.
