07s with auto have 4.10s regardless of tow package

4.10s were in the auto, regardless of package and were not available for the '08s. You have 3.73 gears in your JK. 3.21s came with the NSG370 gearbox.

I have 3.21 with the NSG370 and can't stand having 33s with these gears. I never use 6th gear, unless over 70MPH, which I'm hardly ever going over. It's tolerable...

Something to think about too. I am willing to bet on your X you got 30" tires....so the 33's and a 2 1/2 lift will raise you 4".....thats pretty good if you do mild wheeling.

Here is my baby with 33's...

Now that is one sexy rig! I wanted that color, but they didn't have one in auto and I couldn't wait. Love the lift and tires combo. Hope mine looks that good! What wheels are those?

Here is mine right now. I can't wait to get the lift and some 33's on her!

When I was at the dealership looking at automatics the X's had 3.21's, towing package had 3.73's, and the Rubicons had 4.10's.
According to Jeep.com, even the most basic JK with no options at all other than the automatic trans comes equipped with the 3.73's.....are you sure you weren't looking in the "standard equipment" column?

-My 08 auto w/tow package has 3.73's. I 'believe' these are the standard auto/tow package gears for 08. The 4.xx may be an option, but are not standard.

Anyway, I'm running 295/75/16's and I rarely ever have the OD enabled. Nice for the long downhill stretches, but that's about it. If you aren't looking to regear at some point, stay with this size or smaller...

where can you send you vin in to get a print out .

I do not believe Jeep put 3.21's on any automatic JK's and only had 3.21's on '07 6 Speeds.

There was no 3.73 for 2007, all autos got the 4.10, tow package or not.

{EDIT}- Looks like this got addressed on page 2.

When looking at the window sticker, don't confuse the 3.21 listed on the left side column for "standard equipment" with the actual gear ratio. If an auto, it will list the 3.73 gear with the auto option in the right side "options" column. All 2007 autos have 4.10's. All 2008-09 (non-Rubicon) auto's have 3.73's.

You can go to Jeep.com and see the window stickers for everything at your local dealer lots.
