Well I went with the 285 70's They will fill my needs better. I loved how the 35's looked on my 07 and if this jeep have 4.10's like my 2007 X did it would have been a go but I want to keep my MPG's up for long haul driving!

thanks
Nate

An 08,I had a 08 with a auto you can't even compare the two. My 08 had trouble turning 32" on the HWY.

I have the same set up and totally agree. 1st gear is actually more usable now that it was stock. I don't shift to 6th until 50+ now on flat stretches and don't use it at all on any decent grade. Sorry I couldn't answer the OP's question but from what I've heard the new engine/tranny combo make a huge difference in the auto as well.

With my set up.....325/60/18 on 18x9 Artillery ATX wheels 2.5" coil and spring lift from TF I can pull the long gradual hills in middle Georgia and actually gain speed......but remember, I am an inch short of having 35's.....the '12 is more powerful than you would expect. I was actually thinking about a re-gear, but until I get into the serious wheeling.....ain't gonna happen.

On my 2012 I run 34" tires and I have an auto with 3.21 gears. I am right around 1800 rpm at 70 mph. I think you will be fine with 3.73 gears.

So people driving 2012 autos with 35's and 3.73 gears. How is it? I live in a hilly area but not mountainous. I do drive up to and all over the Rockies every summer climbing, but would you call it livable.
You'll be fine with the 3.73s and 35s. If I was dropping gears in to get there, it wouldn't be my choice, but for tires that will work with an existing gear set it's fine.

Here's a preliminary chart I posted this morning. Note speeds are at 70mph.

I have the same setup on mine and I get around 16-17. I can't wait for a tuner to come out for the 2012's. That will be 300 bucks well spent.
