Really necessary? No. But, if you want to dial in your ride so that your axles are correctly positioned under your Jeep, your rear pinion angle is set as needed (if you have an aftermarket U-Joint style drive shaft) and make sure that your caster is set to the appropriate angle that it needs to be in order to prevent handling/wandering issues, then new adjustable control arms are the only way to accomplish this.

Could you be more specific as to what all is on your JK and the one that you drove? I'm just curious to know if we were really comparing apples to apples and if maybe there were other components or settings that might have made the difference instead. Because, with just a 3" lift, I can tell you that a dropped pitman arm really isn't needed. Now, at 4"+, yeah, I think it would be.

In fact, I have been running the Full Traction adjustable front track bar on my TJ for years now which is virtually identical in design and can tell you that it has NO binding or other issues to speak of either. Now, I'm not saying that there aren't others out there who might be having issues with their track bar, but since I didn't install them myself, I can't say with any certainty why that might be. Certainly, my experience has been completely issue free but, you don't need to take my word for it. Just ask the scores of people who have seen my JK on the trail. If any of them have seen or heard any issues with their own eyes and ears, I'm sure they would be the first to tell you.
Eddie.. Read that on here from other posts etc...

Well, all I can say is that if there are people who are having problems with their Full Traction front track bar, it doesn't necessarily mean that the track bar itself has "issues". If that were true, then Rubimon, Puddlz, CLACKEY(_!_) or myself would be having them too as we are all running the same track bar. And, to the best of my knowledge, none of us are. Need I say, you now have read information on here that states the exact opposite

Ummm, okay - I will repeat what I said with the needed correction. All I can say is that if there are people who are having problems with their Full Traction "REAR" track bar, it doesn't necessarily mean that the track bar itself has "issues". If that were true, then Puddlz, CLACKEY(_!_) or myself would be having them too as we are all running the same track bar. And, to the best of my knowledge, none of us are. Need I say, you now have read information on here that states the exact opposite of whatever second hand information you might have heard.

And, if that weren't enough, here's visual proof of it too:

Hmmm, no binding here...

or, here....

or, if there were any doubt about the front end, no binding here...

Thanks Eddie, I guess I was reading too much into some of the posts describing the binding problems.. and changing from a FT. Bar to a terraflex bar with the helm ends etc.

But me.. I am still waiting to hear about someone putting on the NEW RANCHO..!!!..

Nice Pic's.. I wish now i had waited on buying bumpers.. Got a highlift and there's nowhere to put it on Bestop bumpers..!! I like the one that's on yours..

Thanks..

I had some contact between my rear Teraflex track bar relocation bracket and my passenger side rear shock. That may be what someone remembers reading about. Teraflex is supposed to be redesigning the bracket and sending me one when it's done, but it has been about 2 months now. It doesn't affect the overall performance, but does lead to a dented shock.

LOL!! Trust me, I know how it goes.

As far as the Rancho kit goes, are you refering to their standard short arm kit or their long arm kit? If you're talking about the long arm kit, I can tell you that I have ridden in a JK Unlimited with one on and that it rides nicely. There's a bit more anti-squat to it than I would prefer but otherwise, it works really well on and off the pavement. Here's a shot of Greg Perk with this kit on and conquring just about any obstical you could put in front of him...

WOW.. WOW.. THAT'S ME RIGHT THERE..!!!
I was hoping someone was going to put one on so I could hear about it.. Does he post??

With that kind of clearance and articulation I will have to go to stubbies..!!

Did he have a total cost?? I know their asking $2300.00 for them.. + shocks and install going to cost.. A little bit more than I want to handle on my own..!!
