Talking 31s regearing question

hello everybody

I am running a 275-70-r16 ( about 31.4 ) tires on an auto transmition JK

I am wondering if i want to regear , what gear ratio would be reasonble to drive on road and would give me good performance at off road driving ( on sand ) and can give the car good torque to go up high hills

thank u

Rubicons come stock with 32" tires and 4.10 gears. I would imagine if you plan on sticking to that size tire for awhile, 4.10s are the way to go.

If you are running 31's and don't plan to jump to 35+ you don't need to regear

regearing from 3.73s tp 4.10s to run 31s would be a waste of money save up regear higher to atleast 5.13s and get 35ssss

If it were me and I was spending cash on re-gearing an auto transmission JK, regardless of tire size, I'm going with 5.13s or 5.38s.

Here's a gear chart to illustrate why.
