31s regearing question
I live in dubai , and i drive my jeep daily , the maximum speed i usually go is between 120 km/h to 140km/hr , which is about 75 to 85mph
If i can drive about 120km/hr with the 5.13 and 31s , I think i am going to regear then
and with the cai , catback and SC, it properly would give a huge diffrence in sand right ?

That think will have awesome acceleration (for a JK
). It should scoot quite well and in the sand, well, you'll dig to China quickly. Um wait, let's see, you're in dubai, so then you'll dig to....um wait...let me think... the middle of the PACIFIC OCEAN!
5.13s will put you at about 2900 rpms at 120kph/75mph. That's not twisting the JK too hard and should be great off road. It also lets you have plenty of gear to roll on 35s.
at 2900 RPM's thats turning that lil engine quite fast for me. I am running 33's and have the stock 3.73s in an auto Sahara and wanna regear to either 4.56 or 4.88. I know weight makes a big difference as well and I have complete rockhard skids under her along with the evap skid. rugged ridge front and rear bumbs and shrockworks sliders. I plan on getting the Evo quarter panels and front fenders with the tube flares so with all the added weight and 33's what do you think would be a good gear set up I also wanna pull a small personal jet boat like a sea doo.....
Power per stroke would be quite low as the manifold pressure would be dropped substantially. The engine is capable of making almost 3x the hp at that rpm than what it needs to roll down the highway at 70mph. What that means is when you stomp the throttle, it goes as the manifold pressure begins to equal that of the outside air. When just rolling at 70mph the rpms might be up but the engine isn't working hard as the throttle body maintains a negative manifold pressure.
