Default 33" ....wich gears??

hi there, this is my first post. im planning on running some 33 tires, this is my DD and my heavy gear for the weeked are 3 or 4 bikes with a heavy hitch rack, if its possible i would like to get the stock mpg any opininions?? btw, i have an 08 sahara unlimited (auto) wwith 2.5 BB from rough country

I have 3.73's on 33's (4door).

Will re-gearing really recover OEM MPG's? Or will it just recover power?

Depends. Location, driving style, setup, whatever else, all play into it.

Gearing will certainly get you back to a stock, or better than stock, drive ratio, regaining lost power. But not a chance it's going to negate the extra drag of a lifted vehicle or the extra mass of bigger tires as far as mpg's go. Help, yes. Get back to oem, nope.
