I have an '11 Rubi and looking to lift it and go to 35's.

My garage opening is 6'10" to completely clear it. Will a 3" lift and 35's fit with this clearance restriction?

I have a 2011 Rubicon Unlimited with a 2.5 Teraflex lift and 1" spacer up front, and I run 33's with so much room that I am going to put 35's on it as soon as I can sell my new 33's. I wish now that I had just gone with 35's to begin with. You will have no issues with clearance on a 3" lift.

This is great news. I really didn't think it would be able to fit in the garage.

I agree, will work with a 3" lift. All thats holding me back is a spare tire carrier and mpg at this point for the 35 upgrade

33's and HD OME coil lift gave me 3" of lift with bumpers and winch. Does not look to silly IMHO. Gives you lots of flex room under the stock flares. Also, down the road after you built up your jeep funds....you can Gusset your D30, if you need a re-gear (4:88 or 5:13) & add a tire carrier then you are ready for 35's with a 3" lift. If you got the cash flow now...then get the 35's. I have no regrets on 33's as I have built my rig up slowly with what cash funds I have saved to eventually get 35's.

now I know I definitely want a 3" lift. however i'm stuck between RC and TF. RC is $500 where TF is $1025. I also want to be sure I don't have to replace my DS or drop my transfer case. Any suggestions on RC or TF anyone?

im actually doing 4.88's gusset, and sleeving the axle the beginning of next week. with 4.88's if i wanted to go to 35's i can. but even still, its not in my future plan unless i do a d44 swap. right now im just trying to make the best of my 33's

Just work with what you have and build up with what funds you can spare. Just let the 33's wear out and who know's at that stage you might have built up your rig to push around 35's. It's been a 3.5yr build to this stage and I am just about ready to take the plunge on 35's after my 33's wear out.

I currently have 33's with an auto and 3.73 gears, a Flashpaq and the TF leveling kit. I could not see running 35's without re-gearing. I will be stepping up to OME 2" at some point but will keep the 33's for daily driver sake. I don't see the need to "stuff" the wheel wells, seems like it would cut down on articulation.

Just my 2 cents of course.

Personally I think the 35's look like what should have come from the factory. I think you will regret doing 33s cause they'll look like cheerios especially if you have an unlimited. Only my opinion, but that's what you're asking for...
I broke my u-joint with my 305s (~33.4" I think) on my D30. I do wheel it hard but and would be really nervous with some 35s on but maybe it's just my bad luck. I do wish I had 37s but that would necessitate buying new axle housings and all the innards for them, money I don't have.
