I started out with 33's and a 2.5 BB.
Well once I saw Jk's with 35's and 3+ inch lifts I was sold.

I've since upgraded to a 3.25" lift and 35" tires. I'm so much happier with the 35's. They really make the 4 Dr. I really haven't noticed that much of a power loss. Then again I'm always easy on the gas.

I'll never look back. Who know's I may even want to go larger one day...hahahaha

Go with the 35's! I was in the same dilema, do a ton of highway driving and thought a 35" tire was just too big but after much debate, bit the bullit and went 35" and don't regret it at all. You will lose some power, you don't mention what model you have, if you don't have a Rubicon, you will definatley want to regear with the 35" tire. With the 4:10 gears, 35"s are not too bad other than mountain driving and then just turn off the OD if auto.

I'm now looking at 37"s... You won't regret the 35" but will regret the 33" if you go that route in my opinion... Good luck with your decision, i know it is a hard one!

Well, I am debating getting 35" as well. I am trying to have the least amount of lift because I like the look better, and easier for wife to get in and out. What are the lowest lifts to clear 35"? 2.5"-3.5"? I do go offroading often, so I am concerned a little with clearance.

Also, I have the X model with 4.10 (because of auto & tow package). Will I really need to change gears?

Would 33's require gear modifications?

You guys are killing me, I had just about made up my mind to go with 33's and now I am reconsidering AGAIN! My situation is I have a lot of people in and out of my Jeep (real estate) and I drive a lot of hwy miles (26,500 since Jan 28, 07). I don't really want to fool with a regear either. It is really hard to find a small lift that would make the 33's look right though.

i cant decide either, i feel that if i get the 33's they will look too small. but need to fit into a garage and afraid the 35's won't. i just drive to and from work plus errands just have 5000 miles since march of 07

I have stock suspension on 33's and just clear my garage door by an inch. The antenna hits. I use my Jeep on weekends and don't bother putting the top up during the week.
