35' or 33's
I am ready to purchase the new tires for my rig, and am having a difficult time deciding between 35's and 33's. I have a 2-door, 6-speed, with 4:88's. I run 3000 rpms at 70 mph, and do not understand totally the advantage, if there is any beyone esthetics, to going with 35's over 33's. I am currently running the stock M/T's with stock wheels, but am purchasing new wheels as well.

In your case, it seems like it's all about personal preference. Though I will say, in most cases, when someone puts on larger tires, like 33's, they usually end up wishing they had gotten the 35's and end up getting them later. To me personally, I don't see the point in spending money on tires just to go from 32's to 33's. In my opinion, make it worth the purchase and go with the 35's. Just my
Entry, departure, and rollover angle all improve with larger tires. Contact patch with lower inflation rates become larger. The downside is where it places you in the power curve at cruise speed without the appropriate gearing, higher center of gravity and more weight.
With what you have 35s are all good to go with perhaps some minor trimming and there are a hell of a lot of people who wish they went bigger after doing 33s as opposed to those wanting to go smaller.

Be sure and consider the fact that 35's might mean some upgrades to the d30 if thats what you have, and the added stress on the rear tire carrier.
I have 33's am happy, but unfortunately i have 3:73's.
If i already had the 4:88 gearing I would have gone with the 35's.
