I run the Nitto Trail Grapplers in a 37x12.5x17, and have done it for over a year on 4.10’s and a 3.6L. At first it was pretty bearable….I think because I loved my 37’s so much. Over time it has worn me down a bit. Around town it’s not bad, but constant downshifting on the highway to either maintain speed or pass gets old, and god forbid there’s a headwind. If you’re in a hilly area, that could get old too. Again, you probably wouldn’t think it’s too bad to at the beginning cuz you’ll be in the honeymoon stage with your tires, but if you go 37’s, you should plan to regear at some point in the future. I made it over a year….and it’s not even a daily driver anymore. I’m regearing for off road performance along with some guts on the road. Couldn’t be happier with my Nitto’s. Nice combination of off road performance without constant drone on the pavement.

I'd do the 37's. This picture was just posted on my local jeep page. This is a comparison of 37" MTR's, 37" KO2's and some slightly used 35" MTR's. The KO2's are definitely a "short" 37. These tires are all mounted on 17x8 wheels with 30psi.

I had the BFG's in 35s and 37s. They're the smallest tires in production in terms of true measurement. They always measured out smaller than other mud tires when brand new so I would say 37s would suffice.

Yep, their 37 closer to a true 35. Definitely run on the small side, so keep that in mind.

FYI, I had the KO1s and got about 90K miles out of them and loved them. I have heard however that the KO2s are not so good. I can't say much because I haven't tried them but please research them a little before making the investment.

BFGs run small , a 37 will really be a "big" 35. Do it.

The sidewall looks good but the tread looks a bit on the wimpy side imho 😬

I feel the same way, if I was doing a ko2 I'd get a 37" but if I was doing a mud tire I'd run a 35"

37" KO2. They measured 36.5" The tread is a little pedestrian, but this is my DD through the NJ winters and I've already gotten over the big fat solid mud lugs in the snow. They are only a few weeks old, we'll see how they do in the rocks next weekend.
