Default i got a question

anybody got some pics of a 2 door with the xenon narrower than stock flares with 35's and no lift? mine should be here tomorrow but not sure when i'm gonna get new wheels and tires. i have my current wheel and tires for sale https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-wheels-tires-113/pro-comp-7189-a-47890/
do you think with 3 3/4" back spacing it would clear the sway bar link?

Default 35's and no lift

i got my 35's yesterday, i trimmed the rocker guards and some of the pinch seam in the back. drives great on road. so i went to go do some flex'n to see if it would rub anywhere else.

they rubbed up front where the support for the old flares mount to (blue arrow) and the marks they left on the tire (red arrows)

thr rear still rubbed on the pinch seam that wasn't trimmed and at the rear bumper. all this rubbing was at full flex. the driver side rear tire was actually off the ground

i got alot of compliments yesterday, in the grocery store parking lot a guy came up to me and said "THAT'S SICK! THAT IS SICK!" he asked about the flares and what lift i had he said he was thinking about getting a 4 door. and before i got back in my jeep a older lady in a vw bug said " i love your jeep"

over all i love the look of it, the rubbing isn't too bad at all and after a little more trimming and pounding it sould be alot better.
anyone cut off that front fender support?

thanks
Larry

If at all possible try not to "trim" any of the pinch seems, those seems are part of the structural integrity of the body, just pull out your BFH (big fuckin hammer) and reshape the seem if at all possible. I don't know why trimming has become a common practice.

Your rig looks really nice man. Time to stubby the rear bumper too, eh?

i got out the BFH and did a little adjusting, took the rear bumper off and did a little trimm'n on that too. haven't been out to flex it again but it should be alot better. i haven't cut off the support for the old front fenders but i did adjust them with the BFH. bumpers look like sh%t but shouldn't even come close to rubbin on them.

Why don't you just get a 1" body lift? You shouldn't have to beat the crap out of your Jeep to clear 35s.

How bad is the rubbing? I think I could live with a little bit if its only at full flex. Its not like I'm gonna be spending all my time driving at full flex anyways. Both jeeps look bad ass though. I think this is definately the way I'm going on mine. I can always lift it later on down the road. Also, CASAINTSFAN, how far do your tires stick out past your flares? Since I'm in PA, I can't legally have mine out past the flares. I'd really like to go with a 15x8 wheel with 4-3.75" backspacing and the narrow Xenon flares, but I'm afraid that will stick out to far.
