35" tire damage to tailgate
Bringing up and old thread here so I apologize but was wondering if anyone has a similar setup to mine and can comment on if any damage has been incurred.
My stock wheels on my Rubi weighed 70lbs. I recently went with a set of 16" steel wheels and 35" Maxxis Bighorns. Those come in at about 97lbs.
I have no basis for comparison to know if my tires and wheels are heavier or lighter than most. To me 27lbs seems like a huge difference but I honestly don't know
I'm going wheeling this weekend, mostly mild trails. Not sure if I want to swap out my stock spare with the new tire or just carry the 35 in the back of the Jeep.
Anyone have similar weights on their stock carrier with no issues?

Any idea how much the spare weighs? My brother in law has 15" wheels and KM2's and his came in at 87lbs so 10lbs lighter than my 16".
