Default 35" tires Questions

So I am looking to buy the Rough Country 3.25" suspension lift kit and was wondering what you guys recommend. Should i get 33's or 35's and if i do go with the 35's, will i need to get relocation stuff, any help would be great, still kinda new.

35's. You will be much happier in the longer run, unlike me who regrets the 33". I have a BB + RC BL which all comes to 3.25 roughly and with the 33" I have alot of room in my fender wells.

35's for sure and you should clear without a problem but PM the representative from rough country on here because you could probably end up getting the 4'' lift for around the same price. the big thing is gearing, looking at you profile you probably have 4.10 gears in you Sahara but it wouldn't hurt getting a build sheet of you jeep from the dealer just to be sure as if you have anything less I would recommend re-gearing to 4.56 w/ 6spd or 5.13/ Auto for a DD. As for me 4'' RC lift with stock 3.21 and 35's was horrible so there soon after 4.56 gears have been installed along with lockers front and back. Tires are 35x12.50R15 wheels are 15x10 with 4.50 backspacing with no rubbing

FAQ's ...

Q: What size lift do I need to get in order to fit 33" Tires?
Q: What size lift do I need to get in order to fit 35" Tires?
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 3" lift?
Q: What is Caster? How much do I need?
Q: What back spacing will I need on my wheels in order to clear 12.50 wide tires?
Etc...

That'll give you some good info, and should bring up a lot more questions for us to answer

My friend got the RC 3.25" lift and the ride was very harsh. Be aware of this before you order. All kits will ride different and my friend didn't know this and was very unhappy with the results. off road it actually wasn't bad but on road the slightest crack in the road would bounce your phone out of the cup holder.

If you haven't had lifted vehicles before (I don't know if you have) I would recommend you find someone in your area with the same lift you think you want and ask for a ride so you know what your getting before you buy. Shocks and springs can dramatically change your ride quality on and off road and sometimes not for the better. It's all personal preference which is very hard to convey on-line.

FYI, totally go with the 35s. If running stock rims you will need wheel spaces but if your getting aftermarket rims you won't need them. If you don't get the 35's you will probably wish you did latter. Just my

There's an FAQ somewhere that covers lift needed for tire size, but I have enough room to easily fit 35s with my 2.5" BB.

?
?

I was told I needed at least 1.5" of BS with my 12.5s on stock rims.
Those Q's are straight from the FAQ's pasted at the top of this Modified section. Open them up and you'll find the answers are already there...
