Default 35 X 12.50 kM2'S

I am curious about the actual height of this tire mounted on a 8.5 x 17 rim
on the jeep with tire pressure set for street use.

Anyone with these have a tape measure handy?

Thanks in advance.

We were running them on 17X9 with 35psi and they measured 33.5" because I measured them for our AEV Pro Cal. Now we are running 30psi so I'll have to check again...will get back to you tomorrow with the new number...

Yeah! That's what I am thinking to.

I have a 1" body lift with 1.75 from spacer and .75 rear spacer and
I keep going back and forth on the 33" vs 35" thing and look at all that fender well showing with stock rubi tires.

What do you think. I should just get the 35 x 12.50 bfg km2's and if I need more lift then I will pick some more money off the tree and do it.

MANY tires have a listed height that is different from their sidewall listed height. I have a set of 37" Goodyear MTR's on my Ram 3500, when I measured them on my truck they are just at 35". Weight has to be taken into consideration I think.

On my BFG KM2's on my JK, I measured and set my ProCal at 34".

Okay we almost made that mistake but learned from others on our first Newbie Run that those who bought 33" ended up selling them and going to 35" since the 33" didn't make much difference from the stock 32" (assumption is Rubicon). So talking to others help me to convince my wife to go directly to 35" tires.

As far as clearance issues the 35" with the 1" body lift might work but if not have you considered the fender chop? It will definately give you what you the room you need for those 35"...well just my two cents.

Wayoflife has 35" MTR's with stock 17" rims on his lil' Nemo build with same tape measure pics here:

I know they aren't BFG's but it gives you something to look at. Looks like 34" in the pics.

Here's a recent post with pics - 35" Toyo's on stock 17" rims with a 1.75 inch body/spacer lift (no suspension lift, yet).

Yes, I see a fender chop in the future. I also have the RR stubby with a superlift 9.0s, Daystar 1.75 coil spacer in the front and 0.75 spacer on the rear.

I am gonna get me some Aev Pintlers with 35 x 12.50 km2's and make it work.
I really like the idea of keeping a lower center of gravity yet having the big shoes!

Thanks everyone for the replies.

We have the 3" Black Diamond with fender chop and BFG 35" you can take a look at our albums to see what you think...37" would be nice but I'm liking the 35" right now. Oh yeah our lift actually measures more like 4" (pre-bumpers).

That is one sweet ride! Looks like you have a good bit invested in your rig.

Thanks for sharing.
