Yes you will easily fit 35's on and no you will not need to re-gear. However, you will notice a slight loss of power in your jeeps performance with the larger tires depending on what type of transmission you have. This can be easily fixed with a superchips. Re-gearing may be something that you consider in the future.

There's another consideration: What gears do you have stock? The 2007 X's came with 4.10s as an option. I've found that for city driving, my 4.10s work fine with 33s. For Interstate driving, with a Hypertech, I find that the vehicle lacks power during many common situations: Going up a hill, passing, into strong headwinds, etc. Regearing would fix that, and when I go to 35s later this month I plan to regear to 4.88s (I have a six speed, too).

If you don't have the 4.10s, I'd strongly recommend that you defer engine programmers (they provide marginal improvement, especially when you consider they cost about a third of the money you could use to regear, labor included). You'll get a ton more bang for the buck. If money is an issue, you can still get the ProCal to reset your computer for the larger tires. If money is not an issue, then the SuperChips won't hurt--it just won't give the same "oomph" as a regear.

i have to superchip and it works great. and no i dont have the 4.10 gears im not sure what they are i just know that they are way to high a gear ratio for crawling. and another thing i was wondering if anyone is running the poison spyder rock knockers and what they think of them.

ps thank for the input

No problem fitting 35,s with your set up,i,d put the tires on and drive it then decide if you want to re-gear after driving.
I re-geared to 5.13 w/6 speed manual and i probably should have gone with 4.88
The jeep does awsome off-road but for highway it,s geared a little too low.
My jeep is not a daily driver though,it,s my toy ,so it works good for me

as mentioned, yes, you can fit 35's and while re-gearing would be nice, it's not necessary. you will loose some power but, it's not too bad.
