I have a 2008 jk Sahara unlimited. I already have new 18" rims and 2" teraflex level. 20" led bar on the hood.

I obviously want to ditch the 255/70/18 for something bigger, wider. I was thinking 295/70/18. I can get 5 nitto terras for 1200ish shipped from discount tire. Any other tire options you guys recommend?

I'd like to get a 3" or a 3.5" lift also. Am I putting to much stress on the drive shaft with a 3.5"? Do I need to take the level pucks out or can I keep them for added lift? (Might be a really dumb question, but I'm serious lol)

I was also thinking about cutting my fenders...kinda nervous though, what do you guys think? Since I'm a weekend warrior at best, in Florida, not really concerned with new bumpers or a winch at this point. I like to cruise the sugar sand, mud pits.

Appreciate any input fellas.

As a recent college graduate who did something similar...I recommend taking that extra money and using it to pay down your loans. Sounded fun at first but, when you start paying the monthly payments...it's not. Hate to be that guy, but those things seriously suck.

I thought about it, but I don't mind the payments I only owe 7k. It's a lower interest rate than a credit card lol

Spend it man. Why not. I just finished paying my student loans. Had only 6g.. Took me under 15monthes. Basically no interest. Hopefully your degree pays off and you make good money right out of school.

If your gonna lift... Go with 35's. figure out how high your going before picking tires. I personally have a 2.5 teraflex lift with the s/t swaybar. I wheel quite a bit and it works for me. Love the lcg.

I'm running duratracs and love them (315)
For 3500 you should lift & shocks, tires, then maybe a chip and exhaust. I would stay under 3" or your gonna have driveshaft issues.

Other options- stereo, bumpers, dual battery, snorkel, armor... Endless possibilities. Or save another grand and get a supercharger!

^ this

After school is out and pay checks come in buy toys..... Having high student loans will make buying new homes and other items difficult if your DTI isn't sufficient... Plus debt sucks...

Or invest it to hedge against your student loan interest..... I'm getting old!!!! :(

Plenty of time to play...... My.02

Good input man, so if I went with a 2.5".....is it worth it over the 2" level? Lol should I keep the level and add a 1" body lift? I never thought about a chip, might look into that. What's your opinion on snorkel, is a snorkel a snorkel? I saw one on eBay for $120, says Wrangler on the side.

I just can't justify the 4k+ for 100hp lol I'm a city boy. Lots of high traffic driving with the occasional weekend trip to Ocala forest.

It shines in the city!! It gives the get up and go that is needed once bigger tires and more weight is added!
