35s and 513s..Add a Calibrator or Tuner???
I know theres a ton of info on here about this topic but Ive done alot of searching and cant really find the specific answers Im looking for so I will keep it brief; I have an 08 Sahara Auto 4dr, 3" lift, 513 gears and 35 (act 34") Toyo MTs.
The following are my questions/issues;
1) Can I improve on the soft pedal/terrible throttle response
2) Would really like the Jeep to pull better on medium hills w/o turning off OD
3) I would like to adjust the computer to the accurate tire and gear sizes, but Im unclear what preformance gains are realized after doing so and how this effects the transmission?
While Im satisfied with the overall set up and the improvments the gears made, Im still not really thrilled with the power performance. I dont really care about the inaccurate speedo and MPGs. I wonder what improvements are in store after adding either for example a Procal calibrator vs Flashpaq tuner and what the differences would be between the two to acheive the results Im looking for.
Thanks for anyones advice!

I don't have the gears yet, but the Superchip greatly improved my current set up of 3" lift and 35's.
I would imagine using the Flashpaq to properly tune and adjust for your gears and tire height would be a noticeable improvement.
At this point, what's another $300 to tune things up properly for your specific set up

Agreed...
I am set up almost the same..35s and 5.13s.
I run the Superchips and the 91 tune. Much better throttle response, mpgs up little (16.5-17.8), and the shifting is better. I would say drivability has improved overall. The Superchip has multiple features that other tuners do not have, such as the TPS, gear ratio adj, tuning....
as far as the OD lockout on hills, I have not had to use the lock out and the Jeep has not downshifted since I did the 91 tune. It is fairly hilly where I live. I have been very happy overall.

I just got my Superchips. Couldn't be happier. It fixed the shift points for the 33's I've got now.
Next week it'll fix 'em again when I get the 5:13's and 35's!!
Get the Superchips... you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner.
