Default 35's boggin jeep down

Just put 3 inch lift and 35's on and jeep is alot more sluggish and likes to run in lower gears with high RPM. This was expected but not this much. Any ideas? Different gears? Adding new exhaust in few weeks and cold air intake when available for the 2012 JK.

Auto or Standard? And what gears do you have currently?

Gotta plead ignorance on gears, what will that do? More torque? More power?

A tuner would allow you to change your shift points with an auto and will help with your sluggishness. Dunno if tuners are out for 2012s or not yet, I know they arent out for 2011s yet....

Ultimately re-gearing will get your rig back to a nice drive-able state. You will need at least a AEV ProCal with the re-gearing so that you don't go into limp mode.

Rick.

Re-gear is the only fix for this. Exhaust and intake will have little effect. The gearing will put the motor back in its useful powerband. A programmer can help reset shift points as well

Regear, just like everyone else said. 5.13 or 4.88...really research this. 5.13 is very torque-y on 35s (and crap gas mileage), but will let you run 37s if you decide to go bigger. 4.88 will give you better mileage and still be very offroad-able but will again be sluggish if you go bigger tires eventually. Realize too, a lot of answers you get stating 5.13 on 35s are from guys with the 3.8L engine. Your 3.6L has 80 more HP and you don't need to gear as steep. 4.88 is my strong recommendation for 35s.

Agreed on the AEV ProCal, they do make them for 2012. I have one for my Jeep. 5.13 on 37s.

The first thing I would suggest doing is - try turning your O/D off using the button and see how it runs from there.

I know the 2012's have a lot more power than older years and I hear a lot of 3.21 gear (the worst) owners with the 3.8L think that the 35s are "OK".

You may have 3.21's, which are horrible with 35's. I'd request a build sheet from Jeep if you don't know which gear ratio you have.
