I'm currently at work right now and unable to check out the air dam, but is it something that isn't needed and can just be discarded or does it need to be relocated?

Will most likely rub at full lock turn.

Thumbs up RE: Gatlins

Please post pics after installation... I love the Gatlins(in black especially) and hope to see 'em on a Jeep soon!
Thanks!

It helps with fuel mileage. You can just pitch it and loose 1~2 mpg more than you otherwise would, or trim the back corners some.

Will post pictures in the "Show your 35's" thread sometime next week! They are the matte black wheels and look awesome. Went up to discount tire when they called just to check them out!

Sounds like the best way to go is just trimming the air dam to not lose MPG, right?

Sure. Trimming air dam can be done, but it will probably be ripped off when offroad somewhere down the future. I saved that and chucked it away when put 35s on. Unfortunately, low MPG is a way of life with Jeep, but luckily is the only negative

Trash the air dam. Honestly incantations tell the difference without it as far as mpg's

You could always just pull your fenders completely off and roll on 35's with no lift.

Now what about the front bumper? Mine is stock for now, and it looks like the extra 4" of tire could rub on the back of the bumper?

You can always just cut off the ends if it does.
