35's on sahara = damage
Have some 35's on the way for my Sahara. I've been reading and noticed some claiming that running 35's on my sahara with a Dana 30 will result in damage. First of all, I am new and don't wheel too hard, but I am concerned anyway. I have seen so many running this set-up on this forum that I was totally unconcerned until now. Can anyone shed some lite on this? How risky is this? Should I cancel the order?
Thanks for your help.

I put my 35's on right before I took my Jeep in to get the lift installed... On the road it would have been ok (rubbing wise) but it wouldn't have taken much off road to rub badly.
As far as breaking stuff on a D30 w/35's... sure you'll have more tendancy to break things faster if you bind up your axel on some rocks or start spinning out (like in mud) and all of a sudden it grabs... but if you are just doing light off roading maybe even slightly to moderate offraoding, I think you'll be fine with the D30.

I will be installing the lift, wheels with proper backspacing, to make sure I have the proper clearance. I was concerned with the drive train components.
Thanks Rubidon, I feel better about my decision. I was all fired up about my new set up, thought I had read enough on this site, then saw some comments that freaked me out.

I think I'm the only one on this site with 35's and no lift...LOL. I guess I'm the only crazy one on here, right? Probably not but atleast on this kinda setup. I went off road a little today and yes it does rub and you have to be carefull but dang I am going to be reguardless of the no lift issue because for the next 5 years its not even my Jeep-well if someone couldn't make there payments. I don't have a lift right now just because I have to wait till "Tis the night before Christmas" to get it and sense the stock X wheels are hideous I'll just wait and be very carefull. I don't really care about the rubbing a whole lot because the only thing the tires rub on are the ugly stock plastic fenders...lol...I broke one a little

SlickWill is running 37" Boggers with a D30 and from my understanding, runs it hard. You should be ok with 35's, that's not saying you won't break anything, it's possible and maybe probable, but you should be OK.
