Default 35s, TERRA GRAPPLERS VS OPEN COUNTRY'S???

Hey guys i haven't been on here in a while, been busy on my other project. Needless to say im starting back on my 2010 JK Rubicon unlimited! Last time i had a question for you guys you recommended the Terraflex lift with coils and shock spacers (overall 2.5 lift i think) and thats worked out really well for me! so here i am again. I was about to order my XD rockstar 20s in blk with BF Goodrich A/Ts but my local shop doesnt have them, my choices now are between the Nitto Terra Grapplers or Toyo Open Country?? also i know i want 35s but not sure if i should go with 35x10 or 12, I'd prefer 12 if they fit? i also have 1 inch spidertrax spacers... let me know guys, im ordering these in just a couple of hours. I rarely have time to go offroading right now so my biggest issue to stay away from is road noise...
THANKS!!!

What about the Nitto Trail Grapplers? They're sort of in-between those two choices. But if its just those two options, I really like the look of the Toyo MT's! The only thing that I've heard against them is that they're a little heavy. Other than that, everyone seems to have all positive reviews!

Good luck!

Thanks and the trail grapplers are a little more, he is giving me the XD 20s with either terra grapplers or open countrys for only 1650 sensors balancded and installed, pretty good deal huh? I've bought a bunch from this guy though.

How wide are the XD's and what backspacing? You might not need to use the wheel spacers. I had them on and took them off. Tell me what kind of look you want as far as sticking out past the wheel well and I can guide you as to the backspacing you will need

Open Country A/T or M/T ? If it is the AT, I'd go for the terra's.

What are the specs on the rims? Didn't know Spidertrax made a 1" spacer, (1.5" is all I've seen) but you should just get the correct BS on the wheels and then sell the spacers...

I have the Toyo MT's and love them but they are pretty darn heavy -- 108 pounds for one of my 35's on an AEV Pintler. I've got 36,000 miles on mine and should be able to get another 30,000 out of them. I rotate through all 5 every 4,000 miles.

Thanks for all the input guys! looks like I got to the shop too late and i wont be able to get these put on untill monday, which is ok. It'll give me a couple of more days to decide.... so advice is still very welcome!
and 100+pounds per wheels is pretty heavy!!! its hard to imagine my jeep any slower than it ALREADY IS!
I guess it'll make me go with gears sooner though.
and oh yea... sorry they are 1.5 inch spacers
"Paulsonic" sent ya a PM on backspacing thanks

Toyos are heavy...no doubt about it. They're not cheap either...but you get what you pay for.

They perform well offroad, are tough as nails, balance VERY well, and have excellent road manners. They may not be as flashy as the Nittos, but I think that if you're doing much in the way of pavement/highway driving they're probably the MT that would make you happiest.

Have you considered an AT? If you're not offroading much, that may be a better all-around tire for you. Then again, AT's don't generally look as chunky and agressive as MT's.
