i know this has been probably discussed but im looking to mount some Mickey Thompson MTZ 35x12.50 tires on stock wheels. is it possible? and if you have them show them.

They will fit the stock rims although you may have some problems with certain tire shops installing them for liability reasons.

There are quit a few members here running this setup and I'm thinking of doing the same but am cautious in doing so especially when considering you have to run spacers at the same time. And, all spacers specifically state that they are for "Off Road Use Only".

Last thing I want to have happen is a wheel flying off or a bead busting loose when I'm doing 65+ on the highway

I've had spacers on mine for around 20k miles . No problems or re-torqueing. And I tow a trailer every day with Carpentry tools in it. Just make sure that you Loctite and torque them to 110 lbs and when you rotate your wheels forbid the use of an air wrench. I've got 34's on OEM 18" wheels.

I have 33x12.5's on my stock rims. with spidertrack's spacers.

the spacers havent loosened or budged at all in about 15-16,000 miles. I run 70mph to my parents house in the southerntier quite often, no issue whatsoever.


Clackey has 35's i believe on his.

12.5" on stock wheels as well. Been running this combo for about 10k miles with no issues at all. Running spidertrax 1.25" spacers as well.

Thanks guy's for the positive reinforcement. I REALLY want 35's w/ a 2.5 lift cause it makes the JK look so damn good. And, should I ever get a chance to do some real off roading clearance shouldn't be an issue.

Just was worried about safety, not to mention coverage. Could you imagine calling you're insurance agent with a claim after loosing a wheel? That could end up being pretty costly!

They absolutely will fit stock rims.... 12.50 is about as wide as you can go, I have seen people running 13.5's but that is really pushing it. You will definately have to run spacers in oreder to gain clearance but dont be scared of that... the spacers made by spidertrax are high quality and made of billet aluminum... They have to put "off-road use only" on the box to protect themselves. In case you do not tighten them correctly they are not liable... its an awesome setup and mounts to your hub just like a wheel does.

I have been running 35x12.50 on my 17 inch moabs for almost 10k miles and have no issue... I dont even think i have heard any horror stories about the wider tires or the wheels spacers.

not my jeep but here u go..... 35 x 12.5... he uses a 2.5 bb lift and spidertax spacers no problems at all

Don't do it! For $400 dollars you can get 5 wheels that look great and fit properly!
