Default 37 MTR Questuions

I just put these on a couple days ago and the jeep is tracking to the right. I had 35 duratracs on before and it did not track right. I was there when the guy balanced them and it looked like he used very little weight. I know these tires have had balancing issues in the past but he said that this batch was pretty round and even. My question is the pull to the right balance related or could it be that my balljoints are feeling the effects of the bigger tires? They are stock balljoints with 60k miles on them. I was planning on changing them before the tires but never got around to it. Also what tire pressure are you guys running with these tires? Is anyone having issues with these tires pulling to the right? Thanks

What your feeling is probably a slight alignment issue. You probably didn't notice it until the new tires went on. As far as pressure I am running mine at 28 psi.

My suspension was pretty dialed in before the tires. My axle is center with an adjustable trackbar. My caster is increased with front lowers and my toe is set 1/8 of an inch less in the front. My steering wheel is also straight. What would I need to adjust. I'm pretty sure my balljoints are bad but they weren't causing the pull before the bigger tires

Mine pull slightly to the right as well when I let go of the wheel. Its not the type of pull you have to fight the entire time you are driving, its only present when you let go of the steering wheel entirely. My alignment is pretty spot on, so I've just been living with it.

yeah this is a little different its not that negative caster flighty type feeling. you can actually feel the tire trying to move the jeep to the right while your holding the steering wheel. If you let go of the steering wheel watch out. Im hoping when I change out my balljoints in a few days it will correct it if not may have to have them rebalanced or something. I do love the tire btw just have to get the pull taken care of

Try rotating the front tires first to see if the problem shifts to the other side. Also check your air pressure to make sure there's not difference side to side. You may need to recheck your alignment and with the increased diameter of the tires will affect how they contact the road. If your caster is off more than .5 % it can cause a pull also (Adjustable lower control arms not set the same can cause this even on a straight axle)

Awesome advice ill try switching the fronts first and see what that does. air pressure is 26 psi on both sides ill leave any suspension tweaks till last I guess. thanks

I run 28 on a 9" wheel.

Also, I reread your post and it said your toe is set 1/8" narrower in the front than the rear. You want to set the toe 1/8" wider in the front the rear. It should help you out a bit
